Ugh.

I am swamped right now...at work, at home, with family...

And thusly I've been slacking on my JC. I ate OKAY over the weekend. I didn't go crazy but I also didn't do great either. I think I've been doing some stress eating too. I've been going a bit over my calorie count...which is not good. And now on top of everything, I have repairmen coming tomorrow to fix the cable, I have to bake for our office Christmas party...I don't have time to go to Jenny Craig. Which is fine, I have plenty of Jenny Craig food and healthy things I can cook.

I'm struggling with motivation right now. And maybe if my JCC was actually supportive...and didn't put me down. I might think about making time for it. But I feel like I get more support from my blogging buddies then I do from my consultant. I'm not complaining...I just feel overwhelmed. And driving 20 minutes to Jenny Craig then having a 5 minute consultation that really doesn't help and driving 20 minutes home is just a waste of my time. I have way too many other things to do.

So I'm going to try and eat well this week, track my calories, try and get through this slump. Any motivation would help right now.

Weigh In Wednesday WOOHOO!

Okay so I have to stop for a minute and just vent about my Jenny Craig Consultant. I called yesterday because I knew I'd have a hard time weighing in and getting my food, so I gave her my order and told her I'd be in right when the center opened at 8am tomorrow because I am waiting for the delivery of my new bed. The delivery people are not going to be waiting around for me...and I don't want to have a hassle. She said okay.

So I told her I'd be in at 8am...so I get there early and I wait...and I wait...8:05am passes. And I live about 20 minutes from my center without traffic...and 291 was absolutely packed. So I started getting a little worried. I see her saunter in and I went, with my sister, to pick up my food, weigh in and go. She was extremely rude saying "Oh you need to wait, give me a minute". Uh lady, you've been keeping me waiting for almost 15 minutes now...I know how to weigh myself on the scale!!

I couldn't have been happier when I saw a loss of 3.6 pounds!!!! I am 279.4 today!!!!!!!!! Which means there is a new photo update of me on the sidebar of the blog, YIPEE!!!!! But she didn't say congratulations or great job...

What does she say?

"ARE YOU SURE YOU'RE EATING?"

Umm...pretty sure I'm not full of energy and buying all this Jenny Craig food if I'm not eating it? Also, I've told her about twenty times that I use sparkpeople to count calories and stay within my food goals even though I'm on Jenny Craig. I just looked at her...

Really? Do you think I got to 310 (My highest weight) by not eating? Do you think I just suddenly gave up eating after 23 years and decided I was done with it? Uh no, I like food too much ahaha. Second of all, I'm peppy, well hydrated, excited, coming into the center with my sister (Family support). Do I seem like a person who's starving themselves for weight loss? I don't know what the hell this woman is on...or what her deal is...but I'm so over it. I have lost a total of 30.6 pounds...and I'm not stopping here. WOO!!! That witch can be miserable on her own damn time. I'm done with it.

My sister even said to me on the way out "What is that lady's problem? You said good morning and how are you...and she was rude to you." She told me to "GIVE HER A FEW MINUTES" in a very snippy tone. And my sister heard the whole 'Are you not eating' comment. Clearly my sister has seen I've been eating lol. Whatever, sorry to continue to vent about it. I am just very annoyed.

In honor of eating right and losing weight...the healthy way, here is today's recipe!!! I decided I needed something a bit sweet to kick off my Wednesday.

Labor Day Challenge ACHIEVED!

Another 1.8 pounds gone...which puts me at a total of 25.2 lost since I started my Jenny Craig journey! I am very excited and motivated. I am doing lots of meals and days on my own and still losing weight! I like the Jenny Craig food but I also know that I have the ability to make good, healthy choices!!

My new goal is to be down 40lbs by the time that I go to Ireland in November 2011! I have 14.8 pounds to go to reach that goal and I am confident I can do it. I don't want to aim TOO high to say I'll be down 50 by November but I'm hoping. Maybe my new Yoga DVD will help me get there! Haven't gotten a chance to do it yet but I WILL!

This morning I went to my Jenny Craig appointment and brought my sister. She commented to me, without my having to say anything that my consultant was rude. And that she got a bad vibe from her, which is something I've felt since day one. Everyone who's there on Wednesday is nasty, rude, and gets upset when I don't buy all their food. Today I bought barely anything from them and it was very tense. Oh well, I know that this is working for me!

After my meeting with my consultant I went out to breakfast with my sister. I had a small splurge, 2 egg omelette with onion, mushroom and some jalapeno bacon and an unsweetened iced tea. Not too worried about it! I didn't eat a huge breakfast sandwich or the ever-tempting caramel apple walnut french toast! Planning on hanging out, X-Files marathon and Yoga later tonight! :D

Good luck to my Wednesday Weighers! And tomorrow starts a month of healthy recipes!!!

Update: I've figured out how to 'schedule' a blog post! My first recipe will post at 10am tomorrow (barring any blogger complications). If not I'll post in manually when I get home tomorrow!

Wednesday Weigh-In!

I've come to the conclusion that I really don't understand my body's signals very well and I don't know how to fix it. Yesterday I was feeling bloated and like I was retaining water, I'm still bleeding, and I wanted to curl up and kill a bag of salt and vinegar chips. But I didn't, instead I talked to some close friends, watched A League of Their Own on AMC, and then went to bed. I talked myself down from the ledge (not literally) telling myself that sometimes people gain and that doesn't mean I'm a failure.

Well, I got to my JC appointment and my regular JCC was on vacation. I already knew this and I had prepared. The girl I had was AWESOME! I wish she was working on a day that I could see her because she was supportive and approachable, she told me I was doing a great job doing MOMOs... I felt comfortable with her! Anyway, I weighed in and lost...2.8!!! Bringing me to 290.8 and that means a PHOTO UPDATE! I did it in my weigh in clothes, the clothes I ALWAYS wear to weigh in...but I can see a change, I really can! It's very exciting!

So far, I haven't gotten any calls. I desperately need to go grocery shopping and so after I finish my breakfast scramble smothered in hot sauce (My WI breakfast treat) I am going to the store. One thing that I have been buying are the Weight Watchers English Muffin Breakfast Sandwich with Canadian Bacon. Basically its a cheaper, more delicious Sunshine Sandiwch...you get two in a pack for 3 dollars at target as opposed to OVER 3 dollars for one at JC. Also need another big pack of lettuce, mushrooms, green peppers, cucumber, broccoli crowns, banana, yogurt and SELTZER!

Hope that everyone is having a great day!

Eating Out Success

Tonight I had a wonderful evening planned with two good friends. We went to see Richard III in the outdoor theatre at our alma mater! It's something I do every year, it's 'Shakespeare in the park' amped up. And the performance did NOT dissapoint! I suggest anyone in the CT area to go see it, it will just blow your mind.

Half the fun of going is bringing a picnic and enjoying it outdoors. I debated back and forth about whether I wanted to bring a JC meal I already cooked and bring my snack...but I have not eaten out since starting my JC journey and after having purchased the new dining out guide, I wanted to test my mettle. I want to start with the disclaimer that I believe that I did a great job first of all resisting all the temptations and made a good choice based on my dining guide and my plan.

My JCC may have other ideas...during my session on Wednesday we talked about going out and I got a lot of mixed messages. Yes, I am on JC but I also have a life and I want to enjoy going out occasionally. SO using the guide I picked out that I was going to have a cup of chicken noodle soup and half of the mediterranean veggie sandwich and bring my salad from lunch with just a small amount of dressing...total calories, WELL WITHIN RANGE. Not to mention I was not eating my JC snack, I saved my fruit AND both my milks to have at this meal. The exchanges worked out and I may have splurged a little bit...but I didn't think it would break the bank.

And what I got in return was a kind of snotty 'well you can do what you want'. So...I did. I made great choices while I was out, I had my cup of chicken noodle soup and half a sandwich (as reccomended in my JC Dining Out Guide if I might point that out) and ate about 1/2 of my salad before I knew I was full. Good choices all around if you ask me! Not to mention I was very active today and I'm not going to let my perception of my JCC's attitude deter me from enjoying!

We will see what the almighty scale has to say about it next Wednesday!
